Allied health professional salaries and benefits

General benefits

Allied health professionals are eligible to receive the following benefits under the terms and conditions of the WA Health – Health Services Union – PACTS Industrial Agreement 2018 :

  • Overtime allowance
  • Higher duty allowance (after 5 days)
  • Professional development leave (16 hours/2 days per year)
  • Study leave (5 hours per week; work-life balance)

  • Accrued days off
  • Travel allowance (reasonable expenses reimbursed)
  • Travelling time (time off in lieu)
  • Overtime meal allowance
  • Motor vehicle allowance (reasonable expenses reimbursed)
  • Long service leave (13 weeks after 10 years, then every 7 years)
  • Parental leave (14 weeks paid, 52 weeks total)
  • Annual leave (4 weeks/20 days)

  • Relieving/special duty allowance (reasonable expenses reimbursed)
  • Uniform and laundering allowance (in lieu of free provision).
