As part of the Southern Inland Health Initiative’s $300 million capital works program Katanning was one of six regional hospitals to benefit from a total investment of more than $160 million

Katanning Health Service upgrades include a new state-of-the-art emergency department and new outpatient and primary care facility.  

Other upgrades include:

  • new medical imaging department
  • refurbished main entrance, reception and waiting areas
  • new laundry and morgue
  • refurbished surgical services and sterilising facilities
  • refurbished kitchen and equipment update
  • roof refurbishment to the main block

In addition patients, staff and visitors will benefit from improved and safer clinical facilities, including telehealth and non clinical support services.

Construction was completed in September 2018.
