Kalgoorlie Clinical Nurse Manager Claire nominated in Excellence Awards

Kalgoorlie Health Campus Clinical Nurse Manager Claire Easter has dedicated her career to building strong relationships with her patients and community.

Claire’s community centred attituded has seen her nominated as a finalist in the 2024 WA Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards.

Originally embarking to the Goldfields for a three-month stint, Claire has now spent over 20 years working at Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital.

“I fell in love with the town, the hospital and all it has to offer,” Claire said.

“There have been many amazing opportunities that I wouldn’t have been exposed to in a metro hospital.

“I have so many colleagues who have become family to me now.”

Claire ensures that every patient that comes into her care is treated as her own family member.

“I am passionate about delivering country communities the same level of care as their metro counterparts,” she added.

“As nurses we come to work to do our best at improving the lives of our patients and their families.
