Project – Tom Price and Paraburdoo Hospitals

Project overview

The State Government has partnered with Rio Tinto to redevelop Tom Price and Paraburdoo Hospitals.

The purpose-built facility in Tom Price will include:

  • Modern emergency department.
  • Contemporary ambulatory care facilities to support the full complement of visiting services, including outpatient specialists and community mental health.
  • Private interview and consult rooms.
  • Four bed inpatient ward.
  • Dental services.
  • Pathology services.

While the final details of the Paraburdoo redevelopment are still being worked through, the design and construction of a new fit-for-purpose facility will take place at the existing hospital site and include:

  • New, contemporary emergency department.
  • Integrated primary and community care services.
  • Space for an on-site private GP clinic.

The new facility will deliver a flexible model for patients ensuring they are able to receive a range of short-stay inpatient clinical care and treatment services.
