Project – Tom Price and Paraburdoo Hospitals
Project overview
The State Government has partnered with Rio Tinto to redevelop Tom Price and Paraburdoo Hospitals.
The purpose-built facility in Tom Price will include:
- Modern emergency department.
- Contemporary ambulatory care facilities to support the full complement of visiting services, including outpatient specialists and community mental health.
- Private interview and consult rooms.
- Four bed inpatient ward.
- Dental services.
- Pathology services.
While the final details of the Paraburdoo redevelopment are still being worked through, the design and construction of a new fit-for-purpose facility will take place at the existing hospital site and include:
- New, contemporary emergency department.
- Integrated primary and community care services.
- Space for an on-site private GP clinic.
The new facility will deliver a flexible model for patients ensuring they are able to receive a range of short-stay inpatient clinical care and treatment services.
