Forward works set to begin on Tom Price Health Service redevelopment

Work is set to begin shortly on the redevelopment of the Tom Price Health Service with the forward works contract awarded to Western Australian company Cooper & Oxley.
The early works will prepare the site for major construction and includes earthworks, new access roads and flood mitigation measures to ensure the hospital meets updated climate resilience standards.
The new purpose-built facility will feature a modern emergency department, contemporary primary care facilities including multipurpose consult and interview rooms, a four-bed inpatient ward, dental and pathology services.
The State Government is delivering the nearly $33 million project in partnership with Rio Tinto, which has contributed $20 million.
Major construction of the Tom Price Health Service is scheduled to begin in the first half of 2026.
