Moving day for residents calling Gnullingoo Mia Residential Care home
Tuesday was moving day for the new residents at Gnullingoo Mia Residential Care, Carnarvon’s brand new aged and palliative care facility.
Students from St Mary Star of the Sea Catholic School were on hand to welcome their new neighbours and present them each with a small gift.
The 38-bed, $19.9 million facility has been designed with accommodation for couples and family members in mind and will also provide palliative care for residents with life-limiting conditions.
The facility is co-located at Carnarvon Hospital, allowing integration with other health services and specialties and features beautiful sensory gardens for residents to spend time enjoying their surroundings.
The official opening for Gnullingoo Mia is set for later this year once residents have settled into their new homes.
