WACHS provides high quality care and support in Kununurra
Staff at Kununurra Hospital have received high praise and been recognised for their work in providing high quality care and support to their community.
A patient recently took to Care Opinion to shine light on the Kununurra team after being admitted to hospital for an operation.
“I’m always amazed at how professional and caring the whole medical team, that I see, is in Kununurra,” they wrote.
“… the nurses treating me made me feel safe and comfortable.
The patients acknowledged the hard work staff on all sides of the medical field, even those outside the hospital setting who changed their dressing at the Coolibah Centre.
“It makes me proud of Kununurra, we are so remote, yet I believe we have the cream of the crop of hospitals in Australia.”
WA Country Health Service (WACHS) A/Regional Director Rob Pulsford said Kununurra Hospital was home to some of the region’s most extraordinary staff.
“What our team do in Kununurra is nothing short of extraordinary.
“They’re one of our most remote sites and despite the challenges that come with this, they always go above and beyond to care for their community.
“Providing compassionate care is central to our mission and just like this patient, I am exceptionally proud of our staff in Kununurra”.
