Another milestone has been marked in the Bunbury Regional Hospital redevelopment with the opening of Mamang – a purpose built, offsite outpatient and ambulatory care facility at the Bunbury Homemaker Centre.

The facility opened this month and provides a convenient hub for the community to access outpatient and ambulatory care services under one roof.

Services now available at Mamang include Home Links ambulatory nursing and rehab in the home, South West telehealth, renal service, integrated stroke services and cancer services, diabetes education, primary health and community rehabilitation and specialist medical clinics.

Bunbury Hospital Director Jeff Calver said the dedicated hub would allow for services to remain uninterrupted throughout the upcoming $200.1 million redevelopment of Bunbury Regional Hospital.

One of the first patients through the doors of Mamang was telehealth and cancer services patient Nisa, who said the team has provided extraordinary care and support, giving her confidence as she navigates her health journey.

Mamang’s opening follows the addition of 200 additional parking bays to the hospital and the completion of a transportable unit which created additional office space for non-clinical staff while redevelopment work takes place.
