Thanks For Caring this Aged Care Employee Day
05/08/2022
A dedicated group of employees and volunteers receive special recognition this week for the outstanding work they do in aged care.
Sunday 7 August is Aged Care Employee Day, a national day to acknowledge their tireless work and the profound impact they have on their patients and loved ones.
Midwest Aged Care Nurse Practitioner Emma Metcalfe-Nash is one of the many WACHS staff members who has dedicated her career to making a difference to elderly lives.
"The work is rewarding, there is a lot of job satisfaction in knowing your direct care has been a positive influence on a patient's quality of life," Emma said.
Emma is just one example of the extraordinary staff members we are thankful to have in country WA.
WACHS thanks all our workers and volunteers in aged care for their incredible contribution to aged care - from our nurses and care workers to kitchen, transport and support service workers
