Temporary road closure as part of Newman Health Service redevelopment
One lane of Mindarra Drive will be temporarily closed to allow for critical works as part of the $61.4 million Newman Health Service redevelopment.
This closure will commence Monday 5 until Saturday 17 December and helps bring the redevelopment one step closer to completion.
There will be traffic management onsite to manage the area and emergency service vehicles will be given priority access during this time.
There is no impact to the hospital and care can still be accessed as normal.
Once complete, the $61.4 million project will provide Newman and surrounding communities with a modern, fit-for-purpose facility delivering high-quality care close to home for decades to come.
This will include, 12 inpatient beds, six emergency department bays, two dental chairs, six GP consult spaces, dedicated rooms for outpatient consults, therapy, medical imaging and pathology, and telehealth services.
The redevelopment also includes a $15 million contribution from BHP.
We would like to thank the community for their patience and understanding during this time.
