Albany parents grateful for hospital staff
When an Albany mother brought their infant son into hospital, she knew he was in safe hands thanks to the holistic approach of local staff.
The mother recently took her praise to the Care Opinion platform, thanking staff for their high-quality care.
“My infant son was really sick and had some worrying test results but with the support from all the staff at the hospital I felt it did make things a lot easier,” she said.
“I felt they all went above and beyond to make sure my son and I received the upmost holistic care.”
From the paediatricians on the wards to the emergency department staff, the mother said she was thankful for every department team.
“Even the food was amazing, served with smiles,” she added.
Great Southern Regional Director Geraldine Ennis echoed the sentiments, thanking staff for their dedication to tailoring their care to each patient at Albany Health Campus.
“You don’t need to be a parent to appreciate how stressful it can be when a child is in pain, that’s why our teams are conscious in these situations to also look out for mum and dad,” she said.
“They work hard to bring a sense of calm, compassion and understanding as they treat and care for children.
“Seeing positive stories like this shared with the community really gives our teams a boost and helps through the hard times we all inevitably face in our roles.”
