Collie Health Service undergoes $4.1 million in additional upgrades
An additional $4.1 million worth of upgrades to Collie Health Service have been completed.
Works include a complete roof replacement, ventilation, heating and cooling system upgrades and new kitchen and bathroom amenities.
Funded as part of the State Government’s Minor Works Stimulus Program, the upgrades build upon the facility’s recently completed $14.7 million state-of-the-art operating theatre.
The revitalised health service now also boasts a new waiting room and reception, consult room, bathrooms and patient recovery bays, as well as virtual care technology.
WA Country Health Service’s Karine Miller said the additional works will help make sure the facility will meet the needs of the community for years to come.
“The $4.1 million additional upgrades are now complete at Collie Health Service and complement the significant redevelopment works that have been completed, including the new operating theatre complex.
“The revitalised health service will ensure it meets the needs of the community for years to come by providing access to and delivering a range of high-quality healthcare close to home.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the community of Collie, as well as the extraordinary staff working at the hospital, for their patience as we undertook these important upgrades.”
