Upgraded Plantagenet Cranbrook Health Service Emergency Department complete
WA Country Health Service’s Plantagenet Cranbrook Health Service Emergency Department has received a $1.8 million refurbishment.
The new and improved ED includes two new acute treatment bays, a resuscitation treatment bay, an ambulance airlock, new nursing station and refurbished utility and service rooms.
WA Country Health Service’s Evelyn Quinn said the additions to the ED and staff areas are helping to provide a modernised and contemporary healthcare service.
“The new treatment bays and staff area ensures our highly committed healthcare staff are able to focus on providing the best possible care in a more functional and efficient environment.
“Stage two works are already underway and will see the addition of a new ambulance bay and contemporary reconfiguration of the ED, wards and outpatient areas, making it easier for staff and patients to access the hospital,” Ms Quinn added.
Once complete, the redevelopment will see Plantagenet Cranbrook Health Service transformed into a contemporary, fit-for-purpose facility.
