Northam Health Service equipped with additional monitoring equipment
Northam Health Service has a new bladder scanner thanks to the fundraising efforts of the Hospital Auxiliary.
Clinical Nurse Manager Vicki Vincent said the scanner was a welcome addition that would benefit patients and staff.
“Donating another bladder scanner to our unit is truly appreciated.
“Bladder scanners are helpful in day-to-day tasks in the theatre unit and provide a non-invasive mechanism for staff to monitor a patient’s bladder and the volume of urine retained.
“Auxiliary members volunteer their time working in the hospital kiosk with profits channeled into providing equipment for Northam Hospital.
“We are so grateful to all the volunteers of the Auxiliary. They do such great work at the kiosk as well as provide extraordinary emotional support to patients to make their hospital experience positive.”
