Esperance Admin Officer Rebecca awarded for outstanding outpatient service

For WA Country Health Service Outpatient Administration Officer Rebecca Baines, compassion is at the centre of everything she does.

In recognition of her outstanding efforts, Rebecca was recently awarded the Esperance Chamber of Commerce’s Customer Service Award.

The monthly award recognises those delivering customer service to the Esperance community that goes above and beyond.

As the first point of contact for outpatients and families, Rebecca greets patients with a warm and compassionate welcome and makes sure she’s always available to answer questions.

Rebecca said that knowing that she connects the Esperance community with the care they need is one of the most rewarding aspects of her job.

“Healthcare can be stressful at times. If I can make the experience a little more pleasant for the patient, then I don’t see why I shouldn’t.”

Rebecca also attributed her helpful attitude to the positive environment at Esperance Health Campus.

“Esperance Health Campus not only looks after the community, but also its staff,” she said.
