You can depend on Hedland Health Campus during an emergency
The Emergency Department (ED) and High Dependency Unit (HDU) teams at WA Country Health Service’s Hedland Health Campus know how important it is for patients to feel safe and supported throughout their hospital journey.
Keeping patients informed throughout their stay is just one way that our staff work to help relieve stress on patients and families.
A patient who recently spent five days at Hedland Health Campus took to Care Opinion to praise staff for their treatment.
“At no time were we ever left thinking ‘what’s going on?’
“I was always kept informed and communication to my husband was fantastic, right up to discharge we knew exactly what was happening,” the patient said.
The Hedland team’s collaborative efforts and high-quality care made the patient feel lucky to have Hedland Health Campus as their closest health site.
“They were always caring and supportive – the amount of respect and kindness that staff showed to each other was exceptional.
“It’s an amazing team and WA Country Health Service must be very proud of each and every staff member,” they said.
Pilbara Regional Director of Nursing and Midwifery Katrina Seng said staff involved were grateful for the feedback.
“I am pleased to hear of the excellent care the patient received during their admission.
“They were treated with compassion, and the patient and their husband were kept informed every step of the way.
“Our dedicated nurses and doctors are happy their teamwork, clinical skills and patient care are seen and appreciated,” Ms Seng said.
