Clinical Midwifery Consultant Amy brings warmth and experience to the South West
South West Clinical Midwifery Consultant Amy Gumbrell is making sure mums and bubs are supported when push comes to delivery – and beyond.
Working with WA Country Health Service’s (WACHS) Bunbury, Warren Blackwood, Collie and Margaret River Midwifery Group Practices (MGP), Amy oversees the teams providing continuity of care for expectant families across the region.
With an extensive working history that’s taken her from Kununurra to Norway, Bunbury is still where she calls home – as it means she’s close to family and surrounded by all the South West has to offer.
Amy said she’s developed as a clinician since joining WA Country Health Service.
“I have been provided with amazing opportunities to grow and explore different aspects of midwifery,” she said.
“I am community and people driven, and it feels good to be part of a service that means great maternity healthcare is at your doorstep.”
Amy’s passion for high quality maternity care shines through – especially when she talks about working with MGP teams.
“I travel frequently and am often out and about supporting my colleagues,” Amy said.
“I’m lucky to work with midwives who are wonderful human beings that go above beyond to provide excellent maternity care.”
