Esperance Ambulatory Services have A-team status in the community
Esperance Hospital’s Ambulatory Care team has been recognised for their care and passion by an Esperance resident.
The patient took to Care Opinion to express their gratitude for the service that saved them on a 1500km round trip.
“Ambulatory care is a much-appreciated service in Esperance,” they told us.
“With their care and passion, my wound healed in a year.
“Using Telehealth, the team supported me to stay within the community, with a long drive to Perth it was a relief to know I was able to remain at home.”
The team said they were proud to be a part the patients’ journey towards better health.
“We deal with chronic conditions, so it’s rewarding to see positive outcomes,” Michelle said.
Having used Telehealth in the delivery of care, the team told us country communities benefit from the ease that virtual appointments create.
“Telehealth is important for patient care in remote areas,” Michelle added.
“We are able to connect our patients with metro teams without them needing to travel.”
