Bunbury Virtual Hand Clinic celebrates one year of service
WA Country Health Service's (WACHS) Virtual Hand Surgery Clinic in the South West has just celebrated 12 months of operation.
The Allied Health led urgent care service was specially designed to treat patients with non-complex hand injuries quicker using telehealth.
Across the past 12 months, the South West Virtual Hand Surgery Clinic has provided services to over 400 patients and saved locals over a quarter of a million kilometres in travel.
Director Allied Health Suzanne Spitz said the service was part of the organisation’s commitment to quality care close-to-home.
“The Bunbury Virtual Hand Clinic has seen South West residents benefit from both shortened travel times and high-quality care all within the region,” Ms Spitz said.
“A special thanks to the team behind the service, what a great first year.”
