WA Country Health Service keeps Beacon Health Centre shining
Beacon Health Centre is the latest regional service to transition to WA Country Health Service (WACHS).
Previously operated by Silverchain, Beacon Health Centre will continue to provide outstanding care to the local community and surrounds, as well as providing a clinic for established visiting health services.
Wheatbelt Executive Director Rachele Ferrari said Beacon residents would continue to have access to excellent on-the-ground care.
“I’m really pleased to welcome Beacon to our patch,” Ms Ferrari said.
“We know how important it is for the local community to receive patient-centred care, and we’re well placed to continue this at Beacon Health Centre.”
As part of the transition to WACHS, frontline health professionals will be further supported by 24/7 specialist emergency and mental health support, plus a range of other services and specialties available through the Command Centre.
Ms Ferrari said WACHS has worked closely with Silverchain and the local community to ensure a seamless transition.
"The community really got behind us and their feedback throughout the transition was invaluable.
“I’d also like to extend my thanks to Silverchain for their long-standing services to the Beacon community.”
