Walpole tick of approval for Child Health checks
From this week, WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is running monthly clinics at Walpole Health Centre.
These monthly Child Health Service clinics will support families by delivering child health and developmental assessments to children at key ages and referring babies or children to specialist programs, where required.
Director of Population Health Gabrielle Ross said having dedicated child health check clinics available locally is important to assessing child development.
“The clinics will provide families in Walpole with access to information on their child’s development,” she said.
“It will also help support them to optimise their child’s health outcomes.”
Child health checks are recommended at 0-14 days old, 8 weeks, 4 months, 1 year and 2 years. A school health entry assessment is also offered once your child enters kindergarten.
The Walpole Health Centre will run monthly visits between 9am and 3pm on:
- Thursday 12 September
- Thursday 10 October
- Thursday 14 November
- Thursday 12 December.
