Anne's keeping Wheatbelt communities healthy
Occupational Therapist Anne has been looking after country communities for more than a decade, helping patients to regain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Based in the Wheatbelt, Anne credits the small-town community spirit as one of the most rewarding parts of her role, with the opportunity to develop close, long-term professional relationships with clients and their families, fostering a strong sense of trust and collaboration.
It’s this love of community that has driven Anne throughout her career, saying it is a privilege to work alongside clients and their families and support them to achieve their goals.
Having grown up in country WA, working in rural and regional WA was always on the cards for Anne, who enjoys spending time with family and friends in her free time.
Anne is passionate about delivering occupational therapy in country WA and encourages other OTs to consider a country role for professional and personal development.
“You often have a chance to work across various clinical areas, which gives large professional growth and is incredibly rewarding.
“Apart from many professional opportunities it offers great lifestyle opportunities that come with living in some of the beautiful parts of country WA.
“I would strongly recommend a career in country WA."
