WA Country Health Service has opened a Maternal, Child Health and Specialist Services centre (MaCHSS) in Australind.

Conveniently located close to the Australind Shopping Centre, the healthcare hub offers a range of maternity, child health and specialist services under one roof.

Director Bunbury Regional Hospital Jeff Calver said the centre is bringing high-quality healthcare closer to South West families.

“The Maternal, Child Health and Specialist Services centre is an easily accessible hub where families can receive specialised maternal and child healthcare,” he said.

“MaCHSS provides a welcoming and convenient space where the community can access care and support close to home and without the need to be in a hospital setting.”

The centre is designed to support pregnancy, birth and early parenthood with a variety of maternity services, including:

  • Midwifery Group Practice
  • Midwife antenatal clinic
  • Newborn hearing screening
  • Lactation consult clinic
  • Antenatal debrief clinic

In addition to maternity care, the centre will also provide child health services, including paediatric developmental services and visiting clinics such as:

  • Perth Children’s Hospital respiratory clinic
  • Perth Children’s Hospital diabetes clinic
  • Royal Perth Hospital pacemaker clinic

External specialist services, such as Respiratory WA, will also be available, ensuring a broad range of care options for the community.

For more information or to book an appointment, the centre can be reached at:
