Access Health WA launched to help Western Australians navigate healthcare options

10/03/2026

Access Health WA has been launched to ensure Western Australians have consistent, timely, and accurate information about appropriate healthcare options across WA.

This new long‑term public-facing campaign directly supports the WA Health Winter Strategy 2026, which highlights the need for stronger prevention, clearer system navigation, improved patient flow, and increased capacity as demand rises due to illness and workforce pressures.

The campaign showcases the range of health services available in WA and helps people understand the options including:

  • emergency departments
  • urgent care clinics
  • general practitioners
  • pharmacists
  • 1800MEDICARE
  • WA Virtual Emergency Department

Designed to help people confidently navigate the health sector, Access Health WA empowers the community to make the right healthcare choices, understand alternatives to the emergency department and seek early and appropriate care.

The Access Health WA platform reflects community needs and provides a central place to search for credible information from trusted and reliable sources, supporting informed decision‑making - especially during peak winter demand periods.

Access Health WA makes it easier to know where to go when. Visit Access Health WA for more information.
