Care Opinion honours country health staff ahead of Patient Experience Week
WA Country Health Service staff from across rural and remote WA were honoured in five of eight categories recognising outstanding achievement at the recent Care Opinion Forum: Leading The Way In Listening.
As one of our primary feedback tools for patients, families and carers, Care Opinion Australia focuses on facilitating two-way feedback between providers of care and those receiving the care.
Manager Patient Experience and Community Engagement (PEaCE) Rosie Keely and PEaCE Consultant Tina Pendlebury were recognised as Supportive Practice Champions for their leadership in supporting staff stories and embedding strong governance practices across their service.
Midwest Clinical Governance Support Officer Gordon Millar received a Staff Recognition Star acknowledgment for proactive recognition of staff in patient stories, helping to reinforce a culture of appreciation and visibility across the workforce.
“I was very honoured to be nominated by Care Opinion,” Gordon said.
“Care Opinion is a valuable resource allowing consumers to publicly share their stories and it is great to have Care Opinion acknowledge the quality of responses and interactions we have with our consumers on their platform.
“We are committed to learning from their experiences and celebrating the successes when consumers sing the praises of our great staff.”
