Nominations are now open for the WA Excellence in Allied Health Awards 2026
Allied health professionals provide essential care for people of all ages as well as those experiencing chronic illnesses or mental ill-health, and those experiencing disability.
Across the State, WA Country Health Service has close to a 1,000-strong allied health workforce.
Our audiologists, physiotherapists, social workers, allied health assistants, podiatrists, pharmacists, medical imaging technologists, sonographers, speech pathologists, psychologists, dietitians and occupational therapists provide important, patient-centred and on-Country care to almost 600,000 residents across country WA.
The awards are open to allied health professionals and assistants working in any healthcare environment including, academia, aged care, education, hospitals, management, rural and remote, and primary health care.
For the third year in a row – since the awards were established – WA Country Health Service is proud to be a silver sponsor for the event.
WA Country Health Service Director Allied Health Anna McDonald said that the awards are a chance to thank allied health individuals and teams who help to improve the health and wellbeing of country community members.
“Allied health professionals form an integral part of a patient’s healthcare journey,” Ms McDonald said.
“They are on-the-ground delivering comprehensive, patient-centred care that supports rehabilitation and prevention, and helps many people to live more independently.”
