WA Country Health Service (WACHS) teams from across the state have taken their place as finalists in this year’s WA Health Excellence Awards.

Following the outstanding success of previous years, eight finalists have been named for their achievements, as well as a further eight finalists from programs, initiatives and projects delivered in partnership.

Altogether, that’s an incredibly strong showing in seven of the 11 categories.

WA Country Health Service Chief Executive Jeff Moffet celebrated the finalists and highlighted the importance of recognising extraordinary contributions made by healthcare workers across country WA.

“Country health staff do so much for their communities, and these awards highlight their incredible contributions,” Mr Moffet said.

“I’m especially proud to see that our focus on Aboriginal health, mental health, workforce safety, wellbeing, and innovation is being recognised so prominently.

“This is fantastic recognition of the person-centred, staff-focussed and cutting-edge approach we take to delivering care. I congratulate all staff across our organisation for everything they do to support country communities.”
