2027 WA Rural Physician Training Pathway (WA RPTP) Basic Physician Training - Selection to Training Application
The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) hosts the WA Rural Physician Training Pathway (WA RPTP) for Basic Physician Trainees pursuing Adult Internal Medicine (AIM) training with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and are committed to a rural Physician career.
This application process is for selection to training into the WACHS Basic Physician Training (BPT) Network for 2027. The Pathway offers training opportunities for Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) and Medical Registrars pursuing RACP accredited BPT AIM rotations. The Pathway allows trainees to complete 24 months of training in an accredited WACHS training setting and provides support to transition their training to a partnered metropolitan training setting to complete minimum metropolitan Level 3 training requirements.
