Albany podiatrists go above and beyond
Albany Health Campus podiatrists Julie Glynn and Tep Llewellyn were able to save a person’s leg thanks to their patient-centred approach to care.
Their outstanding care was recently celebrated on Care Opinion by an elderly patient who had a below-knee amputation and was at risk of losing their other leg.
After presenting with circulation problems in their leg, the patient completed 12 months of rehabilitation under the careful guidance of Julie and Tep.
“They saved my leg not once, but on several occasions,” they said.
“They went above and beyond, were always respectful of my age, my limitations and worked together find the best possible solutions. I owe my mobility to them.”
Julie and Tep said good communication and working collaboratively was key to providing the best possible care.
“Each individual needs customised care,” they said.
“We consider the entire situation and work with the patient based on their needs.”
Julie and Tep said receiving this feedback was fantastic.
“We come to work to try and make someone happy each day,” they added.
“It is nice to get recognition, as well as seeing our service's impact on our patients.”
