Margaret River ED team shining bright on Care Opinion
Nurse Kylie, Dr Bec, Nurse Britt and Nurse Netty were recently in colourful scrubs on Fun Scrubs Friday, another way they help to bring a smile to our patients’ faces
The Margaret River Emergency Department (ED) team has every reason to smile, having clocked up five stellar Care Opinion stories in the past month – with residents praising the compassionate care they received.
Director of Nursing/Health Service Manager Marie Tweedie said that the feedback reflected the day-to-day work of the ED team and their dedication to their community.
“We’re incredibly proud of our Margaret River ED team, who care for more than 16,000 patients each year with compassion, skill, and teamwork,” Marie said.
“Feedback like this is a powerful reminder of the difference they make every day for our community.
“Their commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in a busy rural setting is truly commendable.”
Registered Nurse Netty Lenton said the patient experience was at the heart of everything they do.
“Providing safe, patient-focused care has always been a high priority throughout my nursing career,” Nurse Netty said.
“Which is made achievable with the amazing team we have at Margaret River Hospital, always ensuring the safety of our community.”
The care delivered by the Margaret River ED team reflects the strategic domains of Improving safety and quality in health care: A strategic plan for action in WA 2024-2026 and WA Country Health Service’s focus on What Matters to You?, which supports meaningful conversations with patients about their care.
